University Academic Planning & Policy
The statewide academic relations mission of the Office of the Executive Vice President for University Regional Affairs, Planning, and Policy is to represent IU in its ongoing relations with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the other institutions of higher education in the state, with the objective of enhancing the university’s commitment to excellence and engagement in education and research, in coordination with other Indiana institutions of higher education. The Office of the Executive Vice President for University Regional Affairs, Planning, and Policy is collaborating with the Office of Public Affairs and Government Relations to coordinate IU's response to and compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (Public Law 110-315). The HEOA, which was enacted August 14, 2008, reauthorizes the Higher Education Act of 1965. It makes a number of changes to programs authorized under the HEA, authorizes new programs, and makes changes to other laws. See the U.S. Department of Education Web site for more information.
