Using CD-ROM as a Storage Medium for Digitized Speech Materials

Abstract:
This report describes the use of CD-ROM technology for the storage of digitized speech material. Advantages of this technology are discussed, as well as general procedures and particular hardware and software specifications. Finally, examples of specific databases from the Speech Research Laboratroy that have been stored to CD-ROM are discussed.
