SANDRA E. LANEY ELECTED TO IU FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS


BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –SPEA Board of Visitors member Sandra E. Laney has been elected to the Indiana University Foundation Board of Directors. Laney is chairman and CEO of Cadre Computer Resources Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Indiana University Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that serves IU by raising funds from the private sector and by providing administrative services to donors and to the university. The IU Foundation also manages an endowment worth more than $1.6 billon.

“Sandy’s strong business experience and her enthusiasm for using her knowledge and expertise to support Indiana University have made her a valuable new resource to the Board,” said Curt Simic, President of the Foundation.

Cadre is a Cincinnati-based enterprise security solutions provider specializing in the sale, installation, support, training, and assessment of network security systems. Cadre has operations in Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio; Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Detroit, Michigan; Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee; and Charleston, West Virginia.

Laney is also President of the Chemed Foundation. She is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for the Chemed Corporation. Currently, she serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Trustee of the Hutton Bruce Acres and the Vice President and Treasurer of the Edward L. Hutton Foundation.

Laney serves on the boards of several other institutions and organizations including the Chemed Corporation, Omnicare Inc., Xavier University Williams College of Business, the Lower Price Hill Community School, Cincinnati Community Land Cooperative, and the Board of Overseers for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, among others.
