Welcome to the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) Undergraduate
Programs Office at Indiana University. It's our sincere hope that this
Web site will introduce you to our School, our
degrees,
and the many opportunities available to you.
If you are seeking to make a difference in your life and in the lives
of others, then you have found the right place. At SPEA we educate and
graduate versatile professionals—leaders and team players who
can make an immediate impact in
any career sector, whether
government, nonprofit, or private. SPEA's learning environment is not
bound by classroom walls. SPEA creates microcosms of local and global
issues within our majors, and students experiment, develop, and practice
problem-solving strategies. Students are challenged and leadership skills
are honed.
To assist you in rounding out your educational and leadership experience
here at SPEA and Indiana University, we offer a variety of extracurricular
experiences. You might want to be a
SPEA Peer Ambassador or belong to one of the many
student
organizations that provide assistance to others within the School
and the community. Do you sometimes enjoy something beyond the traditional
classroom? Check out our
Special Opportunities.
The crown jewel of SPEA's undergraduate programs is the
Washington
Leadership Program, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for talented
undergraduates to take classes and intern in our nation's capital.
Our degree requirements are online in the
Undergraduate
Bulletin. Let us know if you have questions or if we can help in any way.
Your opportunity is waiting at SPEA. If you are a current Indiana University student, you can
apply online.
We are interested in YOU and your success in learning!
