Lecturer – Arts Administration
The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University seeks to appoint a non tenure-track position as a full time Lecturer on the Bloomington campus. The faculty member will be expected to teach six (6) undergraduate courses per year. Specifically, the successful candidate must be able to teach courses in the Bachelor of Science in Arts Management program relating to the music industry as well as the overview freshman course. Qualifications include a Master’s degree; a Doctorate is preferred. Preference will be given to those who document significant post-secondary teaching experience. This is an initial, three-year, 10-month, non tenure track position commencing on August 1, 2008 and ending May 31, 2011. This contract may be renewed for an additional period of time as stipulated by mutual agreement.
SPEA is a multi-disciplinary, university-wide division of Indiana University and is organized as a professional school committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service and to addressing critical issues of public policy and management. All faculty members teach required and elective courses at the undergraduate, professional masters and doctoral levels.
