Undergraduate Programs - Minor

Religious Studies Minor:
Admitted Spring 2010 or earlier

  1. A minimum of 15 College of Arts & Sciences credit hours in religious studies.
  2. At least one course each in Western religious traditions and Eastern religious traditions.
  3. No more than two courses at the 100 level.
  4. At least two courses at the 300 level or above.

Religious Studies Minor:
Admitted Summer 2010 or after

  1. A minimum of 15 College of Arts and Sciences credit hours in religious Studies.
  2. At least one course above the 100 level chosen from three of the four areas:
  3. No more than two courses at the 100 level. (Topics courses taught by Religious Studies faculty can be counted in the minor. COLL-E103 counts as a 100 level class.)
  4. At least two courses must be at the 300 level or above.

Only courses with a grade of C- or better will be counted in the minor. A minimum GPA of 2.0 must be achieved in the minor.

10 hours of course work in Religious Studies must be completed on the IUB campus.
