Mary Werden -- B366/W405 Associate Instructor

I'm a history graduate student, focusing on 20th Century Eastern Europe, specifically looking at communist Poland.  I'm primarily interested in ordinary people and how larger political, social, and cultural processes shape the world in which they live and how those processes inform their own decisions and perceptions of life.

My interests emerged from my experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Moldova and from a study abroad trip to Poland as an undergraduate.
