Program Updates

The IUHPFL strives to communicate effectively by contacting teachers and counselors with important information on time and regularly. Nearly all communication happens through e-mail, often in the form of personal or school-specific e-mails.

Once the new Program cycle begins, general e-mails about the Program's process, next steps or updates are posted below.

The December 9 deadline for the IUHPFL 2013 summer abroad is fast approaching. Many students are completing their applications as we speak while others are just beginning.

November 5, 2012

Hello IUHPFL Coordinator!

This week an e-mail will be sent with the results of the 2012 IUHPFL Language Test for students from your high school. Next to each student’s name will be either YES (your student passed), NO (your student did not pass), NOT TESTED (which indicates a student registered online but did not show up to take the test), or INVALID (which indicates the student has not paid the test fee and/or has not registered and scores will be held until the registration and/or payment are received).

Greetings from the IUHPFL Office!

Registration for the 2012-2013 IUHPFL qualifying language test is now available. Students must register and pay online by September 27, 2012. Please note that if a student intends to test in more than one language, s/he must submit a separate application and fee for each language.

Greetings from the IUHPFL office!

We hope your foreign language students have returned to your classroom with confidence and enthusiasm. The summer of 2012 saw the IUHPFL sending its largest number of students abroad yet. It was another successful year, thanks in part to dedicated high school teachers like you!

In the next few days, as part of the new 2012/2013 Program cycle, we will mail you a packet with the following materials...
