Competitive Award Application Workshops 2018

Learn about and start preparing applications for nationally-competitive awards such as Fulbright, NSF GRFP, Churchill, Rhodes, Schwarzman and many more! Workshops will be complemented by activities in a Canvas course and guests will include students who have applied for or received awards.

Workshop dates and topics for spring 2018 are:

Wednesday March 21 - 4:00 - 5:00 - Awards for graduate study abroad: Churchill, Gates Cambridge, Fulbright, Marshall, Mitchell, Rhodes, Schwarzman.

Wednesday April 11 - 4:00 - 5:00 - Application statements. These vary from award to award and we will look at and discuss the different types of statements and resources for preparing them. This workshop will also provide attendees with an exercise to get them started on preparing the statement for their respective award.

Wednesday April 25 - 4:00 - 5:00 - Common components of an application: letters of recommendation, transcripts, language evaluations etc...

All workshops will take place in Ballantine 018.

If the time conflicts with your schedule, you can participate via activities in a Canvas course. Space is limited and RSVP is required. Send RSVP and inquiries to workshop leader Paul Fogleman: pfoglema@iu.edu
