Program: The Fern and the Banana Peel-- a presentation by Moira Smith
Moira Smith is the librarian for Anthropology, Folklore, Sociology & Social Work on the IUB campus. She will discuss her sabbatical experiences as a resident scholar at the Stout Research Centre at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Among other things Moira will try to answer 2 questions: first, why study practical jokes; and second, why study them in New Zealand?
