Program Abstract: The "forgotten war," as it is often known in the United States, claimed the lives of 135,000 U.S. and UN troops, and well over a million Chinese and Korean. Sandwiched between World War II and the Vietnam Conflict, Korea lost its significance amongst Americans. Fifty years after the war, such notable speakers as former astronauts John Glenn and Wally Schirra, baseball player Ted Williams, country musician Willie Nelson and many others share their stories.
