- Program Abstract: An absolutely fascinating glimpse into the world of Japanese drag kings. Much of the action is filmed in a Tokyo club called the New Marilyn Club, where female-to-male cross-dressers entertain their pay-for-hire dates who are straight women who have ditched their men. Judith Butler's adage: "some girls like their boys to be girls," really functions well at the New Marilyn Club. Interestingly, neither the "annabe" (the drag kings) nor the straight women identify as lesbians.
