- Program Abstract: "One day in the autumn of 1979, Lu Wenting, a middle-aged woman oculist, has a sudden attack of myocardial infarction. She is under emergency treatment. Eighteen years ago, Lu, fresh from university, is full of ideals. Later she marries Fu Jiajik, an engineer. In the faint light of the setting sun the young couple often stroll along the path in the woods, reciting lines by Petofi, blissful for their bright future. Years later with the burden of their two children, family chores and full-time work life becomes very hard for them. That means they are overworked. Especially in the medical profession Lu lacks the relaxation which she needs. The sudeen heart attack happens after she has performed three operations in the same day. Recalling her past, she feels sorry for not being a dutiful wife and mother, but she consoles herself with the thought that she's saved so many people from blindness. With the great efforts of the doctors and nurses in the emergency ward, Lu finally recovers her consciousness. When her husband takes her out of the hospital, she looks happy and hopeful though the road before them still has twists and turns."
