How to make a gift to the College of Arts and Sciences
When you make a gift to the College of Arts and Sciences, you are underscoring the value of an arts and sciences
education. You are investing in the heart of one of America’s great universities. Your support ensures that the
College will continue to provide world-class educational opportunities—with distinguished faculty and outstanding
facilities—for the next generation of students.
We invite you to explore ways in which you can express your interest in higher education through a contribution to
the College of Arts and Sciences.
- The Multidisciplinary Science Building Fund The Multidisciplinary Science Building will break ground in Spring 2004 and will be the first science building erected on the Bloomington Campus in over 40 years. The interdisciplinary research that will take place in this state-of-the-art facility will have the potential of improving the quality of life in ways never before possible.
- The College Annual Fund: Making annual gifts through the College Annual Fund helps to guarantee the future success of the arts & sciences at IU. You may make an unrestricted gift to the College, in general, or may designate your gift for the use of a department/program within the College. The College Annual Fund provides funding not available through state appropriations or tuition and makes the difference between and exceptional institution and an ordinary one.
- Other ways to give: There are many other methods in
which you can support the College of Arts and Sciences. Deferred or “planned” giving provides long-term security for
the university while offering the donor many immediate benefits. These can include increased income, savings on capital
gains tax and income tax, and effective estate planning.
