Letter from the President
Dear all,
As you may know,
on May 12, 2008, a magnitude of 8.0 earthquake hit the
Wenchuan Country of Southwest China's Sichuan Province
suddenly. The strength of this earthquake is being compared
to the destructive force of the Tangshan earthquake in 1976.
At this critical point, Chinese Student and Scholar
Association calls for the community in Bloomington to show
your greatest SUPPORT and LOVE for those struggling victims
and rescuers in China!
The newly updated death toll is up to 50,000 people, and the
estimated loss of lives will be 100,000 people. At this
moment, IUCSSA will call for another round of donation this
week.
All the donations collected in these two weeks will go to
Chinese Red Cross, and CSSA will send the receipt to the
community for the sake of transparency. Please spread the
word to your friends and please help those in need! Thank
you very much for your support!
Best,
Yan Jin
President
Indiana University Chinese Student and Scholar Association
