General Requirements
The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know Act (EPCRA) requires that Facilities that use extremely hazardous substances provide information to Community Emergency Planning groups. The intent is two-fold: the community is entitled to know about any substances that may affect the health or well-being of its citizenry, and the Community can better prepare for any emergencies involving those substances

Keys to compliance for Supervisors
- Assist EHS personnel in inventorying chemicals on campus by identifying all chemical materials within your facility.
- If a spill or release of any chemical covered by this act occurs, immediately notify EHS, so they can notify all legally required agencies, and coordinate cleanup and recovery.
