Chemical Inventories in Laboratories
General Requirements
The Chemical Facility Antiterrorism Standard requires that all facilities using or storing certain chemicals maintain an active inventory of those chemicals. It is the responsibility of the EHS Laboratory Safety Group to identify any campus locations where the specified chemicals are used or stored, and maintain the inventory.

Keys to compliance for Supervisors
- Supervisors are responsible for working closely with the EHS Chemical Hygiene Officer to accurately inventory chemicals listed in HS CFR Part 27 Appendix A, and report that inventory to EHS.
- Supervisors must make certain employees understand the regulations affecting the possession and use of chemicals on this list.
