Bloodborne Pathogens

General Requirements
If an employee can reasonably be expected to come into contact with blood or other-potentially-infectious-materials (OPIM) as a part of assigned work, the employee must be trained in proper work practices, what to do if exposed to blood, and other elements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.  Employees are required to work with these materials in a safe manner that minimizes the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
