A. Committee composition

  1. A Joint Safety Committee composed of the following will be appointed to meet monthly to discuss safety and health matters:

    1. Five AFSCME appointees

    2. One person from the Physical Plant Administration

    3. One person from Auxiliary Services

    4. One health professional from the Health Center

    5. One person from Office of Insurance, Loss Control & Claims

    6. One person from Environmental Health and Safety

B. Committee specifics

  1. University Human Resource Services will coordinate the committee appointments.

  2. The initial appointments will be made by September 1, 1994.

  3. Clerical support for the committee will be provided as needed.

  4. Environmental Health and Safety will provide technical support for the committee when requested.

  5. The Chairperson of the committee shall rotate semi-annually between an AFSCME appointee and an Administration appointee.
