IU Retiree Status
IU Tuition Benefit (formerly Fee Courtesy)
As noted in Section VI, terminated individuals with IU Retiree status who are eligible for Group Life Insurance are also eligible for the IU Tuition Benefit.
The IU Tuition Benefit for a Retiree is typically the same as those of an active employee.
Retirees should note that IRS regulations require that the IU Tuition Benefit for graduate-level courses be treated as taxable income.
