Compensation System Initiative for Professional Staff Jobs
CSI Project Status
As 2007 is underway, the university has a clearer picture for rolling out results of the CSI project. Last year, the project team completed the task of defining a new series of job families for the more than 5,500 Professional Staff positions across the university. Of these 5,500 positions, 85 to 90 percent have been allocated to discernible jobs. Between now and the end of June, the team will work closely with schools and departments to better understand the duties and roles of the remaining 10 to 15 percent.
The project team is currently in the process of finalizing a salary structure that reflects labor market data for each of the job families. In the next couple of months, departments will receive tentative results (of the completed 85 to 90 percent). Final project results will be distributed to departments and employees during the first quarter of the next fiscal year.
As of this date, the following job families (in bold) and level guides (sub-families) have been identified.
