TIAA-CREF Record-keeping System Update
In the fall of 2005, all IU-sponsored retirement plan accounts at TIAA-CREF were successfully migrated to a new plan-based, record-keeping system known as Open Plan Solutions (OPS).
OPS provides participants with enhanced, individualized record-keeping services. It also allows Indiana University to adopt additional TIAA-CREF investment funds previously unavailable under the old record-keeping system and to access new TIAA-CREF services. The result is more investment choices and flexibility for participants.
Nineteen (19) new investment options have been added to the array of TIAA-CREF funds currently available, creating a total of 38 investment fund options at TIAA-CREF. The new options include one income fund, eight growth and income funds (seven of which are lifecycle funds), and ten equity funds. See the complete list of investment funds at www.indiana.edu/~uhrs/benefits/iuret.html.
Participants may make investment fund changes to their IU-sponsored retirement plan accounts at TIAA-CREF in the ways listed below. Changes generally are effective the next business day.
