General Information
- The Campus Site and Landscape Services Division is responsible for the grounds and tree maintenance, nursery, and outdoor construction and maintenance at IUB. We have a total of 41 appointed service maintenance staff members. All of our staff are emergency responders on the Indiana University campus.
Services
Grounds Maintenance
- Tree trimming, removal and maintenance.
- Snow removal.
- Parking lot cleanup, striping, patching and bumper block replacement.
- Mowing, weed whipping and edging.
- Seeding and aerifying.
- Trash pickup, limb pickup and leaf removal.
- Watering, weeding, cultivating and fertilizing.
- Pruning, mulching and chipping.
- Spraying herbicides and pesticides.
- Maintain 2,000 acres of green space and hard surface.
Arborists/ Tree Care
- Three fulltime ASA Certified Arborists
- Responsible for all tree removals, cabling, pruning, and safety assessment.
Snow Removal
- Provide snow removal services on twenty one miles of campus streets, and fifty two miles of campus sidewalks, and steps.
- Snow removal on all university parking lots.

Landscaping
- Installation of landscape material for construction projects.
- Nursery operation: planting and/or replacing trees, and annual flower and fall mum production.
- Flower planting: spring and fall bulbs, annuals, mums.
- Holiday swags and wreaths
- Beautification projects
Construction
- Hard surface installation and repairs of sidewalks, stone walls, curbs, retaining walls, brick walkways, patios and other site furnishings.
- Install/remove playground equipment.
- Bicycle parking implementation and maintenance.
- Masonry services: blue stone, benches, signature bricks.
- Stamped pattern concrete, specialty stone and concrete projects
- Barricade delivery and pickup for special events.
