Digital Signage Overview

Digital signage can enhance the experience of IU students and visitors by displaying news and directions and promoting events on and off campus. Through the IU Digital Signage Project, IU units can manage communications using digital signage that interfaces with Emergency Management and IU systems and feeds.

Thanks to IU’s agreement with Four Winds Interactive to purchase enterprise digital software, it is now practical for units to afford interactive digital signage.

All digital signage at IU must:

  • Be approved by the University Architect’s Office.
  • Align with the university branding guidelines explained at http://visualidentity.iu.edu/.
  • Have the ability to display campus alerts and safety notifications.
  • Use the university’s selected signage system (Four Winds Interactive).

All IU digital signs must migrate to the enterprise system by January 2012.
