Travel Information and Visas

Bloomington, Indiana, is a popular destination all year, and many hotels and bed and breakfasts take reservations up to a year in advance. Events such as the Honors Convocation typically draw a large number of visitors, and spring is always a busy time.  Book your accommodations as early as possible. The Indiana Memorial Union and the Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau are good places to start planning your visit.

Visa Applications

The Office of International Services is pleased to assist students whose family members need to apply for a visa in order to attend the Honors Convocation. Please go to iStart, click on "Biographical Information," and then on "Letter of Invitation." A notarized letter of invitation will be prepared for your family member(s). You will receive an e-mail message when the letter is ready, and any questions you have will be answered when you pick it up. Please allow sufficient time for your family to receive that letter and apply for a visa.
