Selection Procedure

A representative, university-wide selection committee is appointed annually.  The committee solicits nominations from all campuses, reviews the nominees' credentials, and selects the recipients based upon the following criteria:

• Exceptional contributions in international teaching, research, service, and engagement conducted over a period of many years.  Such contributions must have been influential in the development of the University's international academic programs, collaborative endeavors, and/or research initiatives.
• Exceptional contributions that have a sustainable impact on the students and faculty of Indiana University.  Such contributions should be comprehensive in nature and demonstrate a depth of commitment to the University's international mission.

Eligibilty

• Nominees must be tenure-line faculty.
• Nominations by faculty colleagues, chairs, deans, and university administrators are acceptable.
