Indiana University
has a long tradition of outstanding scholars,
teachers, and researchers, A portion of these have been recognized
by conferral of official titles, including
distinguished professorships,
titled and endowed chairs, and university professorships; collectively
these professors are known as
distinguished and titled professors.
All such professors are invited to join the Alliance of Distinguished
and Titled Professors, an organization whose purpose is stated in its
bylaws.

The members of the alliance will serve Indiana University by working to preserve and enhance its excellence: excellence of faculty, staff, and administrators, and excellence of research, teaching, and service.
The list for the officers of the Alliance is on line.
The Alliance of Distinguished and Titled Professors held their elections in 2012. The term of office is for three years. The next election will be held in 2015.
We present
the list of the members of the Alliance,
with brief summaries of their contributions including a list of new members. We also present the
list of past Distinguished and Titled Professors.
Although the contributions
and records of these individuals are only a small part of the
outstanding record of the entire faculty, they nonetheless are
an impressive testimonial to excellence at Indiana University
