Digitizing images for the web and for the screen

Images can be digitized and prepared for presentation in four phases.

Images must be scanned on a flatbed or slide scanner such as those available at TLTC. Then images are edited for quality or other effects. The image size must be adjusted, then the file must be saved as a JPEG or GIF for screen display. These brief step-by-step instructions explain the processes.

  • Scan - Step-by-step scanning with Photoshop
  • Edit - Correct, crop, resize images with Photoshop
  • Size - Determine image size for the screen
  • Save - Save files as JPEG or GIF for the web and digital presentations
