Lisa Blomgren Bingham, IUB:
  • Participated as part of a panel entitled "Dealing with the Inevitable: Dispute System Design in the Institutional Context" in a symposium on dispute system design at Harvard Law School on March 7-8, 2008, papers from which will be published in the Harvard Negotiation Law Review.   • Presented "Employment Dispute Resolution: Purpose Drives Practice" at the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations on March 10, 2008 in Ithaca, NY
  • Presented "Conflict in Governance" at McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, in Sacramento, CA on March 25, 2008
  • Presented twice at the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington: (1) a panel on Ethics in Mediation and Models of Practice on April 4, 2008 and (2)a panel entitled Justice and Dispute System Design on April 5, 2008

Sheila Kennedy, IUPUI, spoke to the Center on Congregations on April 16, 2008, as part of their “Author’s Series.” She discussed her book, God and Country: America in Red and Blue.

John Krauss, IUPUI, presented a workshop: “Was Your Last Meeting a Disaster?” At the GIFT Spring Conference for Indiana Community Foundations held in Indianapolis on April 10, 2008.

Les Lenkowski, IUB and IUPUI will be participating in the following:
  • June 9, 2008 as a judge in the Manhattan Institute’s Social Entrepreneurship Award program;
  • June 18, 2008 teaching a session of the IU Mini-University on “The Future of NeoConservatism;”
  • June 23-July 5, 2008 taking part in a special program at the Center on Philanthropy for development personnel at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
David McSwane, IUPUI, presented “A Model Approach for Preparing Food Safety Inspection Officers in the 21st Century” at the General Session of the Conference for Food Protection meeting in San Antonio, Texas on April 13th.

Joe Pellicciotti, IUN, presented "The Impact of Tennessee v. Lane, U.S. v. Georgia, and Other Recent U.S. Supreme Court Decisions on Congress’ Ability to Legislate Private-Party Suits Against the States for Federal Law Violations" at the annual meeting of the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business, April, 2008, Chicago.
