The Center for Urban Policy and the Environment, along with SPEA-IUPUI, is co-hosting a seminar on medico-legal death investigation tools and technology. Lou Smit, the national coordinator for the network of medico-legal investigative systems (NOMIS), will talk about a software packet that is available that can help with unsolved homicides, unidentified dead, missing persons, and mass fatality situations (e.g., natural disasters). Participants will include coroners, law enforcement, emergency management, and public health key stakeholders from across the state.
