Burney Fischer, IUB, was elected 2006-07 Chairman of the National Association of State Foresters Foundation during the annual meeting of the NASF Annual Meeting held in Anchorage, Alaska, on September 18-21.

The Center for Educational Policy Research (CEPR), on behalf of the College Board, has identified David McSwane’s (IUPUI) Environmental Science course, “Environment and People,” as one of the top examples of best practices in a national study of Environmental Science courses. Phil Rutledge (Emeritus, IUB, IUPUI, IUN) chaired a forum on “The Millennium Challenge Corporation—Reducing Poverty through Sustainable Economic Growth” at a meeting between the MCC and the Constituency for Africa during the Congressional Black Caucus Week programs in Washington.
