Karen Evans, IUN, and Daniel Lowery (Calumet College of Saint Joseph) recently published an article titled “The Scholarship of Elegance and Significance: Expressive and Aesthetic Truth Claims,” in Administration & Society, 40(1):3-24 (2008). The article is their third in a series of articles on truth to appear in that journal.

Samuel Flint, IUN had an article accepted for publication in the May issue of Health and Social Work entitled “Health Care Reform in the 2008 Presidential Primaries.”

Sheila Kennedy, IUPUI, recently published the following:

  • “Whose Reality-Based Community?” Religion and American Culture. 18(1), Winter 2008
  • “Using restraint: The legal context of high-risk interventions.” In M.A. Nunno, D.M. Day, and L.B. Bullard (Eds.), For our own safety: Examining the safety of high-risk interventions for children and young people. Washington, DC: Child Welfare League of America. (2008)

Les Lenkowski, IUB and IUPUI:

  • recently published "A New Outlook on How Philanthropy Can Help Improve Schools" in the February 21, 2008 “Opinion” column of the Chronicle of Philanthropy and “Is the Goal of Philanthropy Simply Redistributing Money to the Poor?” in the March 6, 2008 “Opinion” column of the Chronicle of Philanthropy;
  • was interviewed and quoted for the article entitled “Remember William F. Buckley” by David Schlegel in the IDS on March 18th;
  • was interviewed by The Herald Times for their article “Professor remembers Buckley as mentor, conservative voice for public service”, as well as radio stations WFIU and WGLC for pieces they were doing on Buckley;
  • was interviewed for an article called “One on One: The gain of give and take,” by Ruthie Blum in The Jerusalem Post.

Laura Littlepage and Eric Wright, both IUPUI, were cited in an IU News Room featuring their class called “Do the homeless count?” This IUPUI seminar helps ensure they do. The full story can be read at http://newsinfo.iu.edu/news/page/normal/7712.html.
