Les Lenkowsky, IUB and IUPUI, spoke on Monday night, March 19, at a dinner in New York sponsored by the Hudson Institute in honor of its retiring chairman, Walter P. Stern. In addition to his own remarks, he read a letter from Governor Daniels. Other speakers include Vice President Cheney. Lenkowsky will speak on Wednesday, March 28, at the Donors Forum of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, on “The Rise of Big Philanthropy.” He will also be meeting with students and faculty in the nonprofit management program at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Flynn Picardal, IUB, presented a poster, “Biogeochemical Interactions during Microbial Iron and Nitrogen Cycling in Anoxic Sediments”, at the Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology 2007 Annual Conference on March 2, 2007, in Panama City, Panama. Co-authors on the poster were former SPEA PhD student, Aaron Coby, and Eric Roden from the University of Wisconsin.

Lois R. Wise, IUB, presented "Just Below the Radar: Globalization and The Impact of Insourcing Foreign Professionals on Government and the Nonprofit Sectors," at a seminar at the School of Public Administration and Policy, Eller College of Management, University of Arizona on Monday March 19.
