Burney Fisher, IUB will be giving the following presentations:

• "Indiana Forest Policy Issues – A Look Back and Forward," Indiana Society of American Foresters Winter Meeting, February 27-28, 2008, McCormicks Creek State Park;
• "Indiana Forest Policy Issues – Looking Forward," Sycamore Trails RC&D Forestry Committee Woodland Owners Award Banquet.

Les Lenkowski, IUB and IUPUI, will be presenting a lecture on March 9, entitled “Philanthropy – Maimonides’ Ladder Today.” This will be part of the dedication ceremonies for the Center for the Study of Philanthropy in Israel, at the Paul D. Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare, Hebrew University, Jerusalem. While in Israel, he will also be meeting with the center’s faculty, a national service program, and others. 

Flynn Picardal, IUB, chaired a session on “Microbiology and Energy” at the Fulbright Academy of Science at Technology 2008 Annual Meeting in Boston, February 14-17, 2008. Panel members were Rita Colwell, former Director of the National Science Foundation; Nina Fedoroff, Science and Technology Advisor to Condoleezza Rice; and Bruce Logan, Director of the Hydrogen Energy Center at Penn State.
