John Krauss, IUPUI, facilitated a luncheon session on February 28, 2005 at the Indiana 2016 Leadership Summit in Indianapolis. Krauss moderated a discussion between Indiana’s young leaders, ages 17-24, and key leaders of the Indiana General Assembly. The panel included Senator David Long, Majority Floor Leader, Senator Teresa Lubbers, and Representative Randy Borror.

Philip Rutledge (Emeritus IUB, IUPUI, IUN), Edwardo Rhodes (IUB), and Richard Hug (IUN) were speakers at the Fourth Social Equity Leadership Conference held in Cleveland, Ohio on February 17-19. SPEA co-sponsors the annual summit conferences with the National Academy of Public Administration.

Lois Wise, IUB, served as co-chair and chair of two different panels at the Annual Teaching Public Administration Conference in Fort Walton, Florida, February 10-12 and gave a presentation on "Making It Real: 'Buy In' Exercises for Teaching about Diversity.
