Announcements

This year is the 60th anniversary of the Fulbright Program, and a formal celebration has been organized with the State Department to be held in Paris in October. In attendance will be the Fulbright country representatives from all member states. Randall Baker, IUB, has been invited to deliver one of the opening keynote speeches. For many years he has worked with the Fulbright Commission in DC, and has been a Senior Scholar twice.

Marie Eisenstein, Karen Evans, Richard Hug, Ellen Szarleta-Yancy, and Susan Zinner, all IUN, were members of a panel and presented papers on the topic: "Implementing Learner-Centered Approaches" at the 2006 Teaching Public Administration Conference in Olympia, Washington on February 11.

John L. Krauss, IUPUI, has been elected chair of the Indiana Supreme Court's Commission on Continuing Legal Education. The mission of the Commission for Continuing Legal Education is to enhance the quality of legal services and professionalism in Indiana through administering, developing and regulating continuing legal education requirements, mediation training standards and attorney specialization programs.
