Kirsten Grønbjerg, IUB, received a grant of $10,000 from the Ball Brothers Foundation in Muncie to underwrite support for her project on Indiana Nonprofits: Scope and Community Dimensions.

John Krauss, IUPUI, keynoted the Leadership Grand Rapids forum on Government Consolidation on January 19, 2006 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Flynn Picardal, IUB, has been awarded $24,753 by the National Aeronautic and Space Administration as a co-investigator on a larger project headed by Juergen Schieber in the Department of Geological Sciences at IUB. The project is entitled, “Investigating Morphological and Isotopic Biosignatures of Terrestrial Iron Bacteria—A Potential Mars Analog.”

David Reingold, IUB, was invited to be a member of a Technical Working Group for Abt Associates' multi-million dollar longitudinal evaluation of AmeriCorps. David and Kirsten Grønbjerg, IUB, were also invited to testify before the Indiana House Judiciary Committee on H.B. 1367—a bill that would provide immunity protection to small non-profit organizations.
