About SPEA Internships
All SPEA students are required to complete an internship relating to
their major/concentration. In order to meet this requirement students
must first complete SPEA V252 (Career Development and Planning) and
meet all academic eligibility requirements. Please refer to the list
of links on the right sidebar of this page to verify eligibility.
Students who fail to submit internship documentation
BEFORE beginning an internship and/or fail to meet academic eligibility
requirements will not receive credit. SPEA does not award internship
credit for internships that have previously occurred.
Why Internships Matter
There is a proven relationship between internships and offers of full-time
employment. The Office of Career Services, located in SPEA 200, is here
to help you find an internship that complements your chosen major and
introduces you to the professional workforce.
Planning Ahead
To ensure that you meet the internship requirements for your degree,
refer to the following documents covering the internship process located
under
Guidelines on the
right side of the page.
