HERE.
Fulfilling the Experiential Requirement
All students must complete a Graduate Internship Contract before any work begins. The following procedures must be followed:
- The student and the internship supervisor should complete the first page of the SPEA Graduate Internship Contract and sign it.
- The student should then take the Contract to their faculty adviser for approval.
- Finally, the student must be in good academic standing (core/major GPA of 3.0).
- After the contract is completed it must be submitted to the Office
of Career Services in SPEA 200.
Again, a student choosing to do an internship to satisfy the experiential requirement must have the internship approved by their faculty advisor prior to starting the internship.
Course Credit Notes
In order to receive elective credit for their internship, students
must register for V585 or E589 during the semester that the internship
is completed.
- Students must follow the same procedures, and fill out the paperwork
as outlined above.
- Once the contract is completed and returned to the Office of Career
Services, the Office of Career Services will send the student an
email authorizing registration for elective credit.
- Students must be registered in the appropriate internship course
(V585 or E589) at the time the internship is being completed (Fall,
Spring, Summer).
- Internships are graded on an S/F basis. Grades will not be awarded
until all reports and evaluations have been completed and signed.
If all reports are not received by the the Office of Career Services
by the date grades are due to the registrar, an incomplete will
be given. Incompletes can only be removed by completing the required
paperwork.
